Load time to impact Adwords Quality Score

Adwords has announced on a blog post earlier today that Google will begin to factor page load times as part of your Adwords’ Quality Score.

The update is set to start impacting Quality Scores later this month…

Aside from moving your site to a dedicated server and oc-3 data pipe, you will want to consider your page size (graphic heavy and script heavy). Simply following the Landing Page rules of KISS (keep it simple smart) (*note, a conversion driven page should never be simple stupid).

Why are we doing this?
Two reasons: first, users have the best experience when they don’t have to wait a long time for landing pages to load. Interstitial pages, multiple redirects, excessively slow servers, and other things that can increase load times only keep users from getting what they want: information about your business. Second, users are more likely to abandon landing pages that load slowly, which can hurt your conversion rate.
